Sonore Signature Series

Up to 32/384 PCM playback and DSD DoP v1 playback

The Signature Series Sonore Music Server with VortexBox Engine builds on the original technology of the Classic Series, but utilizes a US made case that is precision CNC machined from heat-treated aircraft quality billet aluminum. This series uses a high mass drive isolation system to eliminate noise from drive vibration. This series uses the SOtM SATA power line noise filter technology. Additionally, this series has a 2TB storage drive and implements the highest quality audio interfaces for their dedicated outputs.

The Signature Series Sonore DAC is designed and manufactured by a true craftsman in the USA. The modules that make up the heart of the Sonore DAC are assembled in the USA with the highest quality parts selected from around the world. The Sonore DAC has a tube analog output stage and delivers a gorgeous sound that fills the audio room. The Sonore DAC features 1-I2S input, 1-AES/EBU input and 2-SPDIF BNC inputs. No USB input by design. Feel free to pair the Sonore DAC with one of our Sonore Music Servers, your favorite digital source or your favorite USB converter.

The Signature Series Sonore Upgrade Power Supply is the result of a two year R&D project. When we decided to upgrade the power supply for our music servers we tried various technologies and designs offered in the present market place. The Sonore Upgrade Power Supply produces a 95% improvement in ripple over the standard issue power supply at the same wattage rating. If you thought your Sonore music server sounds great as-is, you are in for a treat! The Sonore Upgrade Power Supply comes with a custom Cardas DC cable.

The Sonore/exD DSD DAC is an asynchronous USB digital to analog converter capable of native DSD and standard PCM playback. Note: Not all DAC chips are created equally and some actually convert DSD data to PCM internally. The Sonore/exD DAC chip receives DSD data and does not convert it to PCM internally. In order to accomplish native DSD playback the unit supports the DSD over PCM (DoP) v1 specification for loss less DSD playback. The DAC is also capable of standard 24/192 playback for use with Redbook content and hi-resolution content.

The Sonore DSD Converter is an asynchronous USB converter with SPDIF BNC output. The converter can output regular PCM up to 192 sample rate and convert DSD2PCM at 88.2 or 176.4 sample rate. The DSD2PCM conversion is done on board to eliminate computer CPU load and is compliant with the DSD over PCM (DoP) v1 specification. The DSD2PCM conversion incorporates proprietary filters. The converter does not use USB power and is instead powered by a low noise linear power supply.
